The Houston Parks and Recreation Department (HPARD) requests City Council approval of an Interlocal Agreement (ILA) between the City of Houston and the Southwest Management District for maintenance of the Sharpstown Hike and Bike Trail.
The City and District desire to enter into an agreement to outline the maintenance activities and financial responsibilities for maintaining the Sharpstown Hike and Bike Trail. The proposed agreement authorizes the District full responsibility for the maintenance of the recreational and pedestrian trail. The District will assume all financial costs associated with maintenance and maintain the trail in accordance with the HPARD standards. The City may but is not obligated to contribute funds.
FISCAL NOTE: No significant Fiscal Operating impact is anticipated as a result of this project
