Chapter 33, Section 33-222 of the Code of Ordinances allows for City Council to designate a Landmark or Protected Landmark upon application by property owner.
The application for Protected Landmark designation of "The House at 1918 Crockett Street" at 1918 Crockett Street was initiated by the owners Bruce and Carole Boatner.
A public hearing was held on November 18, 2020 by the Houston Archaeological and Historical Commission and there were no objections to the designation. The Houston Archaeological and Historical Commission determined that the application satisfied applicable criteria of the ordinance and unanimously recommended approval of the Protected Landmark designation.
