In accordance with Section 42-197 of the Code of Ordinances, the property owner of 227 Grace Street, Lot 2, Block 12 of the Brady Place subdivision, initiated an application for the designation of a Special Minimum Lot Size Block (SMLSB). The application includes written evidence of support from the owners of 62% of the block. The Planning and Development Department mailed notifications to property owners of eight (8) lots indicating that the SMLSB application had been submitted. The notification further stated that written protest must be filed with the Planning and Development Department within thirty days of mailing. Since no protest was filed, in accordance with the Code, no action is required by the Houston Planning Commission, the application may be submitted directly to City Council for consideration.
The Planning and Development Department recommends that City Council adopt an ordinance establishing a Special Minimum Lot Size of 5,000 square feet for the 200 block of Grace Street, east side.
