Chapter 33, Section 33-222 of the Code of Ordinances allows for City Council to designate a Landmark or Protected Landmark upon application by property owner.
This application for Protected Landmark designation of the House at 406 Henry Street was initiated by the owner.
A public hearing was held on February 27, 2020 by the Houston Archaeological and Historical Commission and there were no objections to the designation. The Houston Archaeological and Historical Commission determined that the application satisfied applicable criteria of the ordinance and unanimously recommended approval of the Protected Landmark designation.
