Chapter 33 Section 33-222 allows for City Council to designate a Landmark or Protected Landmark upon application by property owner.
The application for Landmark designation of The Edward H. Artz House at 1610 Hickory Street was initiated by the owners Dorothy Boone and Todd Crocken.
A public hearing was held on December 18, 2019 by the Houston Archaeological and Historical Commission and there were no objections to the designation. The Houston Archaeological and Historical Commission determined that the application satisfied applicable criteria of the ordinance and unanimously recommended approval of the Landmark designation.
