Specific Explanation:
the Chief Information Officer recommends that City Council approve an ordinance to appropriate $268,000.00 from the Equipment Acquisition Consolidated Fund (1800) for the purchase of hardware, software and professional services supporting the eGIS Infrastructure Refresh Project for Houston Information Technology Services (HITS). The following project is budgeted in the approved FY2020 Capital Improvement Plan adopted by City Council.

Purchase of equipment and professional services are needed to expand storage capability and increase performance on the aging Enterprise Geospatial Information System (eGIS) environment. This purchase will replace the City's end of life and end of support equipment, and the professional services will provide supplemental resources to support the overall project. The existing enterprise agreement for software licensing, hardware, support, maintenance and professional services with Netsync Solutions Inc. (OA 4600014574) will be utilized for this purchase.
Fiscal Note:
No significant Fiscal Operating impact is anticipated as a result of this project.
