O 2020-0238 ORDINANCE amending City of Houston Ordinance Nos. 2017-516 passed July 25, 2017, as amended, 2017-965 passed December 19, 2017, as amended, and 2018-400 passed on May 22, 2018, which authorized the submission of the 2017 Annual Action Plan, and amendments thereto, including the applications/budgets for the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (“HOPWA”) Grant, among others, to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development |

The Housing and Community Development Department (HCDD), requests City Council to authorize and approve a Substantial Amendment which would transfer Construction activity funds to the Supportive Services activity within the Housing Opportunities for Persons with Aids (HOPWA) 2017 Program Year Budget. The total amount of funds to be moved is $119,790.25.
In accordance with HUD’s Citizen Participation Plan regulations, the City is required to amend components of its Consolidated Plan/Annual Action Plan (Plans) for a variety of reasons, including when a reallocation of funds increases or decreases the budget of an activity by more than 25% or when an activity is added or deleted in a Plan.
The Substantial Amendment includes budget changes for HOPWA.
Fiscal Note:
No fiscal note is required on grant items.
