SUBJECT: PROPERTY: Purchase of Parcel KY17-030 located at 0 Aldine Meadows Road for the EASEMENT ACQUISITIONS FOR 108-INCH WATER LINE FROM ALDINE WESTFIELD TO WILLIS STREET PROJECT.
RECOMMENDATION: (Summary) Authority be given through Council Motion to PURCHASE Parcel KY17-030 for the EASEMENT ACQUISITIONS FOR 108-INCH WATER LINE FROM ALDINE WESTFIELD TO WILLIS STREET PROJECT.
SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:
The EASEMENT ACQUISITIONS FOR 108-INCH WATER LINE FROM ALDINE WESTFIELD TO WILLIS STREET PROJECT provides for the design and construction of transmission and distribution lines to convey treated water from surface water facilities. This program is required to comply with the Harris-Galveston Subsidence District requirement and to implement City's regionalization plan. This program is part of the City's long-range water supply plan.
The City will acquire 52,146 square feet in water line easement on Parcel KY17-030. The City’s offer was based on an appraisal by Jason Mushinski, MAI. The valuation was reviewed and recommended for approval by a senior staff appraiser of this department. The breakdown is as follows:

Parcel KY17-030 contains 1.1971 acre (52,146 square feet) tract of land situated in the W.S. Novell Survey, Abstract No. 602 and M. McAuley Survey, Abstract No. 577, Harris County, Texas, and being out of and a part of Unrestricted Reserve ''A" of Aldine Intercontinental Subdivision, a plat recorded under F.C. No. 646255, Harris County Map Records (H.C.M.R.), described in a General Warranty Deed conveyed from Aldine International, Ltd, to Soundstar Aldine, LLC, dated June 24, 2015 and recorded under Harris County Clerk's File Number No.) 20150274130, Film Code No. 070-81-0885 of the Official Public Records of Real Property of Harris County (O.P.R.O.R.P.H.C.), Harris County, Texas, according to City of Houston approved field notes.
