SPECIFIC EXPLANATION: On September 4, 2013, Ordinance No. 2013-0784, City Council awarded a design/build contract to Bartlett Cocke General Contractors, LLC to provide pre-design, schematic design and estimating and constructability phase services to determine the scope, budget and schedule for the Fire Station No. 67 Expansion and Renovation. A clearly defined scope of work has been determined and the project will now progress through the final design phase. The General Services Department recommends that City Council approve a First Amendment to the design/build contract with Bartlett Cocke General Contractors, LLC to provide for these services in the contract.
PROJECT LOCATION: 1616 West Little York (412X)
PREVIOUS HISTORY AND PROJECT DESCRIPTION: On June 4, 2014, Ordinance No. 2014-0549, City Council appropriated the remaining FY14 CIP project design funding of $328,119.00, which included $5,319.00 for civic art.
M/WBE INFORMATION: The original contract has a 24% M/WBE goal for pre-construction and construction phase services. Upon completion of the pre-construction (design) phase, the contractor will submit the list of proposed certified firms with the issuance of the Guaranteed Maximum Price proposal.
