RECOMMENDATION from Director General Services Department for approval of final contract amount of $109,945.00 and acceptance of work on contract with PROGRESSIVE COMMERCIAL AQUATICS, INC for Pool Plaster at Cloverland, Eastwood, and Mason Parks - DISTRICTS D - BOYKINS; H - GONZALEZ and I - GALLEGOS

SPECIFIC EXPLANATION: The General Services Department recommends that City Council approve the original contract amount of $109,945.00, accept the work and authorize final payment to Progressive Commercial Aquatics, Inc. for construction services in connection with the Pool Plaster - Cloverland, Eastwood, and Mason Parks for the Houston Parks and Recreation Department.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project removed and disposed of old plaster in both main and wading pools; installed new plaster in the main and wading pools; and cleaned the pools.

CONTRACT COMPLETION AND COST:  The contractor completed the project within 110 days:  the original contract time of 90 days, plus 20 days approved by Change Order No. 1.  The final cost of the project, including Change Order No. 1, is the original contract amount of $109,945.00.

PREVIOUS CHANGE ORDER: Change Order No. 1 added non-compensable days to the contract.
