SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:
The Chief Information Officer recommends that City Council approve an ordinance to appropriate $1,000,000.00 from the Equipment Acquisition Consolidated Fund (1800) for the planned purchase of computers, peripherals and professional services for various departments.
The project description with allocation if as follows:

Citywide PC Replacement X-680030* $1,000,000.00
Purchase of computers, peripherals, and professional services to replace PC's that have exceeded the City's 5-year asset replacement cycle. In order to meet operational needs and security requirements for the City, this purchase is required to replace equipment that has reached "end of life".
This item was presented to the Transportation, Technology, and Infrastructure Committee on October 3, 2019.
Fiscal Note:
Funding for this item is included in the FY2020 Capital Improvement Plan and is part of an annual, recurring asset refresh process.
No significant Fiscal Operating impact is anticipated as a result of this project.
