Specific Explanation:
The Director of Houston Public Works and the Chief Procurement Officer recommend that City Council approve various awards, as shown below, in the total amount of $359,677.17 for the purchase of six (6) forklifts and one (1) skid steer loader for the Houston Public Works department and that authorization be given to issue purchase orders. These forklifts and skid steer loader will be used for various projects throughout the City.
This project was advertised in accordance with the requirements of the State of Texas bid laws. Fifteen prospective bidders downloaded the solicitation document from SPD’s e-bidding website, and three bids were received as detailed below:
