Specific Explanation:
The Director of the Houston Airport System and the Chief Procurement Officer recommend that City Council approve an award to Kinetic Motorwerks, LLC on its low bid in the amount not to exceed $371,185.92 for panel power supplies and controllers for the Houston Airport System (HAS) and that authorization be given to make purchases, as needed, for a 36-month period with two one-year options. This award will be used by the HAS Security Technology Team to update access control system panels that are in service between the three airports.
This project was advertised in accordance with the requirements of the State of Texas bid laws. Seven perspective bidders downloaded the solicitation document from SPD's e-bidding website and two bids were received as outlined below.
