2019-0433 ORDINANCE appropriating $5,832,000.00 out of Equipment Acquisition Consolidated Fund, $68,000.00 out of Fleet/Equipment Special Revenue Fund to purchase vehicles for the Solid Waste Management Department

Approve an ordinance authorizing the appropriation of $5,900,000 from the Equipment Acquisition Consolidated Fund (1800) and the Fleet/Equipment Special Revenue Fund (9002) to purchase vehicles for the Solid Waste Management Department.

SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:      

The Chief Business Officer/Director of Finance along with the Director of the Fleet Management Department and the Chief Procurement Officer recommend that City Council approve an ordinance authorizing the appropriation of $5,900,000 out of the Equipment Acquisition Consolidated Fund (1800) and the Fleet/Equipment Special Revenue Fund (9002) . The appropriation will cover the purchase of various specialty vehicles for the Solid Waste Management Department. The vehicles to be purchased include tractor trucks, refuse vehicles and grapple trucks. 

FISCAL NOTE:

No significant Fiscal Operating impact is anticipated as a result of this project.
