SUBJECT: Agreement for Professional Services between the City and Global Business Management Consultants, LLC for Project Management training for Houston Public Works.
RECOMMENDATION: (SUMMARY) An ordinance approving an Agreement forProfessional Services with Global Business Management Consultants, LLC and allocate funds.
SPECIFIC EXPLANATION: Houston Public Works is requesting that an ordinance be approved allocating $79,500.00 for Project Management training performed by Global Business Management Consultants, LLC. The Project Management training will provide Houston Public Works with the fundamentals of Project Management and project life cycle. The broad learning goals of the training include implementing effective planning & control, organize & support projects, create interactive project teams, establish effective communications, and empower project team members. Training will consist of three 2-day sessions. Project Management training is essential in bringing order and consistency to daily tasks of project delivery.
The total requested allocation is $79,500.00 which includes $78,500.00 for contract services and $1,000.00 for incidental fees.
FISCAL NOTE:
Funding for this item is included in the FY19 Adopted Budget. Therefore, no Fiscal Note is required as stated in the Financial Policies.
