Summary:

ORDINANCE appropriating $300,000.00 from the Police Consolidated Construction Fund for Paving of Parking Lots at Houston Police Facilities

Background:

The Chief of Police for the Houston Police Department (HPD) recommends that City Council approve an ordinance to appropriate $300,000 from the Police Consolidated Construction Fund (Fund 4504) for facility paving needs.  HPD will partner with Houston Public Works and Engineering Department (PWE) to address urgent paving issues at various police facilities. Under the approved FY19 Capital Improvement Plan, the purpose of this funding is to address deferred maintenance of HPD parking lots at police facilities.

 

PWE will complete asphalt and concrete repairs at the following police facilities: Northwest Division, Northeast Division, and Tactical Operations Division utilizing CIP funds from CIP #G-000153 Facility Paving Police Improvements for the repairs.  

 

CIP Fiscal Note:

There is no estimated impact to the operating and maintenance costs as a result of this CIP project.
