RECOMMENDATION: Approve and authorize Second Amendment to Lease Agreement between 6201 BONHOMME, L.P (Landlord) and City of Houston (Tenant) for the lease space at 6201 Bonhomme Road for the Dental Clinic, Specialty Clinic (HIV/STD) and Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program of the Houston Health Department (HHD).
SPECIFIC EXPLANATION: The General Services Department recommends approval of a Second Amendment to Lease Agreement with 6201 BONHOMME, L.P (Landlord) for 21,253 square feet of lease space at 6201 Bonhomme Road, for HHD. HHD has operated various health programs out of this leased space since 2007.
The proposed Second Amendment will provide for tenant improvements which include remodeling and renovation to the common area hallways and the Specialty Clinic. The Landlord will perform the tenant improvements and the City shall reimburse the Landlord for the actual construction costs up to a maximum reimbursement amount of $82,657.05. The Landlord shall be responsible for any costs in excess of the subject amount.
All other terms and conditions of the amended lease remain the same.
OPERATING BUDGET FISCAL NOTE: No Fiscal Note is required on grant items.
