REQUEST from Mayor for confirmation of the reappointment of the following individuals to the HOUSTON FORENSIC SCIENCE CENTER, INC., for terms to expire June 30, 2021:

Position One     -  NICOLE B. CASAREZ

Position Five     -  JANET T. BLANCETT

Position Seven -  STACEY A. MITCHELL

Position Nine    -  SANDRA GUERRA THOMPSON

Dear Council Members:

 

As you know, Houston Forensic Science Center, Inc., which does business as the Houston Forensic Science Center (HFSC), is a local government corporation created by Resolution No. 2012-17 "to operate an independent center providing the City with accurate and timely analysis of forensic evidence and related services."  Subject to Council confirmation, I am reappointing the following individuals to HFSC's Board of Directors: 

 

Nicole B. Casarez, reappointment to Position One, for a term to expire June 30, 2021;

Janet T. Blancett, reappointment to Position Five, for a term to expire June 30, 2021;

Stacey A. Mitchell, reappointment to Position Seven, for a term to expire June 30, 2021;

and

Sandra Guerra Thompson, reappointment to Position Nine, for a term to expire June 30, 2021.

 

The appointment will be effective on the date of Council’s confirmation.  Under HFSC’s Certificate of Formation, the appointment will be three year staggered terms.
