In accordance with Section 42-197 of the Code of Ordinances, the property owner of 2203 Addison Road, Lot 15 and Tract 14, Block 16, of the Southgate Subdivision initiated an application for the designation of a Special Minimum Lot Size Block (SMLSB). The application includes written evidence of support from the owners of 89% of the block. The Planning and Development Department mailed notifications to ten (10) property owners indicating that the SMLSB application had been submitted. The notification further stated that written protest must be filed with the Planning and Development Department within thirty days of mailing. Since no protest was filed, in accordance with the Code, no action is required by the Houston Planning Commission, and the application may be submitted directly to City Council for consideration.
The Planning and Development Department recommends that City Council adopt an ordinance establishing a Special Minimum Lot Size of 6,000 square feet for the 2200 block of Addison Road, north and south sides.
