Summary:
ORDINANCE finding and determining that public convenience and necessity no longer require the continued use of a 10-foot-wide utility easement out of Unrestricted Reserve “A,” Block 1, of the Mesa Development Subdivision, situated in the Eli Noland Survey, Abstract No. 600, Houston, Harris County, Texas; abandoning the easement to Aliyah Property, LLC, in consideration of its payment to the City of $3,791.00 and other good and valuable consideration - DISTRICT B - DAVIS
Background:

SUBJECT:  Abandonment and sale of a 10 foot-wide utility easement, located within Unrestricted Reserve A of the Mesa Development Subdivision, out of the Eli Noland Survey, A-600.  Parcel SY17-055

 

RECOMMENDATION:  It is recommended City Council approve an ordinance authorizing the abandonment and sale of a 10 foot-wide utility easement, located within Unrestricted Reserve A of the Mesa Development Subdivision, out of the Eli Noland Survey, A-600.  Parcel SY17-055

 

SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:  Chan Le of TN Associates, Inc., on behalf of Aliyah Property, LLC, the underlying fee owner, requested the abandonment and sale of a 10 foot-wide utility easement, located within Unrestricted Reserve A of the Mesa Development Subdivision, out of the Eli Noland Survey, A-600.  The easement is void of any utilities and excess to the City’s needs.  The property owner, Aliyah Property, LLC, plans to construct a convenience store and remove an empty building.

 

Aliyah Property, LLC, has completed the transaction requirements, has accepted the City's offer, and has rendered payment in full. 

 

The City will abandon and sell to Aliyah Property, LLC:

 

Parcel SY17-055

1,900 square feet of utility easement                                 $3,791.00 (R)

Valued at $3.99 per square foot x 50%

 

TOTAL ABANDONMENTS AND SALE                           $3,791.00

 

Therefore, it is recommended City Council approve an ordinance authorizing the abandonment and sale of a 10 foot-wide utility easement, located within Unrestricted Reserve A of the Mesa Development Subdivision, out of the Eli Noland Survey, A-600.
