In accordance with Section 42-197 of the Code of Ordinances, the property owner of 2134 MacArthur Street, Lot 20, Block 6,of the Southgate Section 3Subdivision initiated an application for the designation of a Special Minimum Lot Size Block (SMLSB). The application includes written evidence of support from the owners of 64% of the block. The Planning and Development Department mailed notifications to fifteen (15) property owners indicating that the SMLSB application had been submitted.
The notification further stated that written protest must be filed with the Planning and Development Department within thirty days of mailing. One written protest wasfiled. The Houston Planning Commission considered the protested application on April 26, 2018 and voted to recommend that the City Council establish the SMLSB.
The Planning and Development Department recommends that City Council adopt an ordinance establishing a Special Minimum Lot Size of 6,825 square feet for the 2000 and 2100 block of MacArthur Street, north side.
