ORDINANCE authorizing the sale of an 1,382-square-foot fee-owned parcel of land, being a portion of Lots 8 and 10, Block 3, located in the Pine Crest Addition, out of the Harris & Wilson Survey, A-32, Houston, Harris County, Texas, to Dimension 5 Holdings, LLC, the abutting property owner, in consideration of its conveyance to the City of a three-foot-wide pedestrian access easement, being a portion of Lots 8 and 10, Block 3, Pine Crest Addition, out of the Harris & Wilson Survey, A-32, Houston, Harris County, Texas, and a cash payment to the City of $13,829.00 and other consideration - DISTRICT B - DAVIS

Background:

SUBJECT: Ordinance authorizing the sale of excess fee-owned Lockwood Drive, in exchange for conveyance to the City of a 3 foot-wide pedestrian access easement, being portions of Lots 8 and 10, Block 3, Pine Crest Addition, out of the Harris and Wilson Survey.  Parcels SY17-072 and AY18-041

RECOMMENDATION: (Summary) It is recommended City Council approve an ordinance authorizing the sale of excess fee-owned Lockwood Drive, in exchange for conveyance to the City of a 3 foot-wide pedestrian access easement and consideration of $13,829.00, being portions of Lots 8 and 10, Block 3, Pine Crest Addition, out of the Harris and Wilson Survey.  Parcels SY17-072 and AY18-041

SPECIFIC EXPLANATION: Mr. Barry Hunsworth, Century Engineering, Inc., 3030 S. Gessner, Suite 100, Houston, Texas, 77063, on behalf of Dimension 5 Holdings, LLC, (Mark Brinker, Managing Partner), the abutting property owner, requested the sale of excess fee-owned Lockwood Drive, in exchange for conveyance to the City of a 3 foot-wide pedestrian access easement, being portions of Lots 8 and 10, Block 3, Pine Crest Addition, out of the Harris and Wilson Survey.  The Joint Referral Committee reviewed and approved this request.

Dimension 5 Holdings, LLC has complied with the transaction requirements, has accepted the City’s offer, and has rendered payment in full.
