ORDINANCE amending Ordinance Number 2017-237 to include the acquisition of two additional parcels for the Chelford City Diversion Package 1 Lift Station Project; finding and determining public convenience and necessity for the acquisition of real property interests to the additional parcels through dedication, purchase or condemnation; authorizing the acquisition of fee simple or easement interest to the additional parcels, and authorizing the payment of costs for parcel purchases/condemnations, relocation assistance expenses, appraisal fees, title policies/services, recording fees, court costs, expert witness fees and other acquisition costs in connection with the project - DISTRICT F - LE

SUBJECT PROPERTY:  AMENDING Ordinance Number 2017-819 passed on October 18, 2017 to include the acquisition of Parcels DY18-013 and DY18-014 for the Facilities Consolidation: Chelford City Diversion Package No. 1 Project by dedication, purchase, or condemnation.

RECOMMENDATION:  (Summary)

It is recommended City Council Amend Ordinance Number 2017-819 which passed on October 18, 2017, to authorize and approve the acquisition of Parcels DY18-013 and DY18-014 for the Facilities Consolidation: Chelford City Diversion Package No. 1 Project by dedication, purchase, or condemnation.

SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:

This project is a part of the City’s ongoing program to upgrade, rehabilitate, replace, consolidate or divert wastewater lift station facilities throughout the City.  It provides for design and construction of the required improvements, including structural, mechanical and electrical components at the lift stations.

By Ordinance Number 2017-819, City Council authorized and approved the acquisition of Parcels by dedication, purchase, or condemnation for the Facilities Consolidation: Chelford City Diversion Package No. 1 Project.  Since that ordinance was passed Parcels DY18-013 and DY18-014 have been added to the project.   

Therefore, it is recommended that Council Ordinance Number 2017-819 be amended to include Parcels DY18-013 and DY18-014.
