Dear Council Members,

 

I am pleased to appoint Carol Ellinger Haddock, P.E., as Director of the Department of Public Works and Engineering as established in Section 2-277 of the City of Houston Code of Ordinances, subject to Council confirmation.

 

Ms. Ellinger Haddock has over 12 years of experience with the City of Houston. Mr. Haddock has been serving as Interim Director of the Department of Public Works and Engineering since July 12, 2017. Prior to joining the Department of Public Works and Engineering, Carol demonstrated her commitment public service as a Project Manager for the Harris County Flood Control District where she led efforts to implement Project Brays

 

I have complete confidence in Ms. Ellinger Haddock and look forward to her appointment on January 10, 2018.
