Summary:

ORDINANCE appropriating $2,000,000.00 out of Equipment Acquisition Consolidated Fund for Professional Services to include Design, Implementation, Support Services and Project Management for the Infor Enterprise Platform for various City Departments

Background:

SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:

The Chief Information Officer recommends that City Council approve an ordinance to appropriate $2,000,000.00 from the Equipment Acquisition Consolidated Fund (1800) for professional services to include design, implementation, support services and project management for the Infor enterprise platform. This appropriation is budgeted in the approved FY18 Capital Improvement Plan adopted by City Council.

 

The project description will allocations are as follows:

1. INFOR- Enterprise Solution  Professional Services    X-680007*   $1,700,000.00

This is a planned appropriation under the Infor Contract No 4600014403 for professional services to expand the usage of the existing enterprise Infor Community Development & Regulatory (CDR) software module to Houston Fire Department (HFD) and Administration and Regulatory Affairs (ARA). Services include the configuration and implementation of permitting and inspection functions that are essential in HFD and ARA core business responsibilities and will eliminate the need for ARA's legacy application. This appropriation was presented to TTI Committee on 5/8/2017, and fulfills contract spending authority already approved the City Council on 6/6/2017. This is just the appropriation of funds.

 

2. INFOR- Enterprise Solution  Project Management    X-680007*    $300,000.00

Senior Project Manager services are required to ensure the aforementioned Infor Community Development (CDR) project and related citywide data integration is managed with in the intended scope, schedule, budget and quality of deliverables that are expected. HITS will utilize project management services from a vendor selected under the planned multi- vendor Managed Services contract (solicitation is currently underway and managed by the Strategic Purchasing Division) for HFD and ARA inspections and permitting requirements.

 

 

 

FISCAL NOTE:

No significant Fiscal Operating impact is anticipated as a result of this project.
