This additional year will allow HHD to work with Strategic Procurement to enter into a new contract for these services.
This contract provides continuing maintenance and support for existing applications used by HHD. The contract also includes the development of additional online web-based applications. The potential additional online web-based applications include but are not limited to, a redesigned public access portal, a portal that allows facility operators to log into and manage certain account features, view and print inspection reports and invoices, and perhaps also an enhanced off line version of the web-based application. This software product is presently used daily by most environmental investigators and sanitarians and upon completion of the new developments will be in use by virtually all environmental investigators and sanitarians.
The Environmental Health Data Management System is used by the Environmental Health Division of HHD in connection with inspections, complaints, investigations and related activities at various food establishments, mobile food units, restaurants, commercial swimming pools, ambulances, special waste generators and the registration of potential emissions generators.
