Summary:

ORDINANCE authorizing the sale of a 30-foot-wide aerial easement traversing the City of Houston's Keegans Bayou Wastewater Treatment Plant Site, located within the H. T. & B. R.R. Co. Survey, Abstract No. 397, Harris County, Texas, to CENTERPOINT ENERGY HOUSTON ELECTRIC, LLC, in consideration of its payment to the city of $2,800.00 and other consideration - DISTRICT J - LASTER

Background:

SUBJECT: Ordinance authorizing the sale and conveyance of a 30 foot-wide aerial easement traversing the City of Houston’s Keegans Bayou Wastewater Treatment Plant site from the southern border of Whitechapel Lane to the existing lines on the site, out of the H.T. & B.R.R. Company Survey Number 5, Section 10, A-397.  Parcel SY18-018

RECOMMENDATION: (Summary) It is recommended City Council approve an ordinance authorizing the sale of a 30 foot-wide aerial easement traversing the City of Houston’s Keegans Bayou Wastewater Treatment Plant site, from the southern border of Whitechapel Lane to the existing line on the site, out of the H.T. & B.R.R. Company Survey Number 5, Section 10, A-397.  Parcel SY18-018

SPECIFIC EXPLANATION: Mark Chan on behalf of CenterPoint Energy requested the sale of the subject parcel.  The applicant plans to use the requested 30 foot-wide aerial easement for a circuit connection.  The Joint Referral Committee reviewed and approved the request.

The City will sell to CenterPoint Energy:

 

Parcel SY18-018

 

1374 square-foot aerial easement:        $858.75

Valued at $2.50 per square foot x 25%

 

TOTAL SALE                                       $2,800.00 (minimum fee)

 

Therefore, it is recommended City Council approve an ordinance authorizing the sale of a 30 foot-wide aerial easement traversing the City of Houston’s Keegans Bayou Wastewater Treatment Plant site, from the southern border of Whitechapel Lane to existing lines on the site, out of the H.T. & B.R.R. Company Survey Number 5, Section 10, A-397.
