ORDINANCE approving and authorizing fifth amendment to the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program Rental Housing Projects Round 2 Subrecipient Grant Agreement between the City of Houston and the General Land Office of the State of Texas, to reduce the amount of the grant award by $1,254,264.96, which is being transferred to the Round 2 Non-Rental Housing Grant, and to revise the rental housing budget - DISTRICTS B - DAVIS; D - BOYKINS and H - CISNEROS |

The Housing and Community Development Department is proposing that City Council approve the 6th Amendment of the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Hurricane Ike Round 2 (CDBG-DR2) Program to be used for single family housing activities. The Texas General Land Office (GLO) awarded the City of Houston (City) Hurricane Ike Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Program for Hurricane Ike Round 2, Phase 2. GLO awarded a contract to the Housing and Community Development Department (HCDD) for Multifamily activity (13-181-000-7294), which has been amended four times.
HCDD proposes the movement of $1,254,264.96 from the Multifamily Project Delivery line item to the Project Delivery line item for the Single-Family contract (13-182-000-7295). The total amount awarded to the City for housing activities is not changing. The changes can be seen in the chart below.
