SUBJECT: Request for a motion declining the acceptance of, rejecting, and refusing the dedication of a 20 foot-wide drainage easement from Irvington Boulevard to Robertson Street, between Sue Street and Joyce Street, located within Block 20 of the Lindale Park Subdivision, Section 3, out of the John Austin Survey. Parcel SY18-011
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended City Council approve a motion declining the acceptance of, rejecting, and refusing the dedication of a 20 foot-wide drainage easement from Irvington Boulevard to Robertson Street, between Sue Street and Joyce Street, located within Block 20 of the Lindale Park Subdivision, Section 3, out of the John Austin Survey. Parcel SY18-011
SPECIFIC EXPLANATION: Oscar G. Rangel, 1002 Sue Street, Houston, Texas, 77009, requested the non-acceptance of a 20 foot-wide drainage easement from Irvington Boulevard to Robertson Street, between Sue Street and Joyce Street, located within Block 20 of the Lindale Park Subdivision, Section 3, out of the John Austin Survey. The drainage easement has never been used for utility purposes, and the City has identified no future need for this drainage easement. Oscar G. Rangel and the other the abutting property owners of Block 20 will incorporate their portion of the drainage easement into their abutting property. The Joint Referral Committee reviewed the request and determined the request could be processed as a non-acceptance.
Therefore, it is recommended City Council approve a motion declining the acceptance of, rejecting, and refusing the dedication of a 20 foot-wide drainage easement from Irvington Boulevard to Robertson Street, between Sue Street and Joyce Street, located within Block 20 of the Lindale Park Subdivision, Section 3, out of the John Austin Survey.
