P68- SR1691259148 - Approve the purchase of Toyota investigative units through The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) from the supplier Silsbee Toyota in the total amount of $1,687,428.95, by the Fleet Management Department (FMD) on behalf of the Houston Police Department (HPD).
Specific Explanation:
The Director of the Fleet Management Department (FMD) and the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) recommend that City Council approve the purchase of forty-nine (49) 2026 hybrid vehicles: twenty-nine (29) Toyota Camry units and twenty (20) Toyota RAV4 units, through TIPS, from the supplier Silsbee Toyota, in the total amount of $1,687,428.95, by FMD on behalf of HPD.
FMD has reviewed and approved the purchase of these investigative units. All units will be designated exclusively for investigative purposes and will function as replacements vehicles.
This recommendation is made pursuant to subsection 271.102(c) of the Texas Local Government Code, which provides that "a local government that purchases goods or services from a cooperative purchasing program or organization satisfies any state law requiring the local government to seek competitive bids for the purchase of the goods or services”.

Hire Houston First:
