The City has received a petition from ASK Platinum, LLC requesting that the city annex for general purposes property that is located to the northeast of the intersection of North Houston Rosslyn Road and Chippewa Boulevard. The area to be annexed consists of approximately 0.9 acre of land owned entirely by the petitioners.
The area being considered for annexation will include one lot that has been developed to include a gas station, a convenience store, a taqueria and a tire shop. The taxable value of the property to be annexed is around $597,261. There are no residents in the area to be annexed.
This matter will be heard by the Economic Development Committee on July 14, 2016.
The Planning and Development Department recommends hearing dates of August 24 and August 31, 2016 in City Council chambers. Pending the outcome of the hearing, the Department will create a service plan for the area to be annexed. The annexation process is expected to be completed in October 2016.
