RECOMMENDATION: (Summary) It is recommended City Council approve an ordinance authorizing the abandonment and sale of a 12-foot-wide alley, from Collingsworth Street south to its terminus, between Billingsley Street and Irvington Boulevard, in Block 29 of the Irvington Addition, out of the John Austin Two League Grant Survey, A-1.
SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:
By Council Motion 2015-0092, City Council authorized the subject transaction. Thereafter the abutting property owner, McDuffie Marshall, Ltd., (Robert J. Rose, President), sold its property to Avenue Community Development Corporation, (Mary Lawler, Executive Director). Avenue Community Development Corporation plans to incorporate the subject alley into the abutting tracts and construct office space.
Avenue Community Development Corporation, has complied with the motion requirements, has accepted the City’s offer, and has rendered payment in full.
