SUBJECT: Ordinance authorizing the abandonment and sale of a 10-foot-wide prescriptive utility easement, being out of Lots 2, 3, 6, and 7, Block 5, of the Mayfair Addition First Section, out of the A.C. Reynolds Survey, A-61. Parcel SY14-054.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended City Council approve an ordinance authorizing the abandonment and sale of a 10-foot-wide prescriptive utility easement, being out of Lots 2, 3, 6, and 7, Block 5, of the Mayfair Addition First Section, out of the A.C. Reynolds Survey, A-61. Parcel SY14-054.
SPECIFIC EXPLANATION: By Motion 2014-0317, City Council authorized the abandonment and sale of a 10-foot-wide prescriptive utility easement, from the east boundary line of Lots 1 and 8 east ±120-feet to the west boundary line of Lot 5, within the Mayfair Section 1 Subdivision, out of the A.C. Reynolds Survey. Thereafter, a survey was conducted and it was determined the utility easement was located within Lots 2, 3, 6, and 7, Block 5 of the Mayfair Addition First Section. The transaction description was updated accordingly and the transaction was processed as reflected in the above description. South Winstone, LLC (Windi Grimes, President), the underlying fee property owner, plans to use the subject property to construct a new office facility.
South Winstone, LLC has completed the transaction requirements, has accepted the City's offer, and has rendered payment in full.
The City will abandon and sell to South Winstone, LLC:

Valued at $80.00 per square foot x 50%
