Planning and Development Department has received an application to rename Houston Chronicle Blvd to Innovation Park Drive (see enclosed map). The location is between the limits of Park Row Drive to the north and Interstate 10 to the south. This name change will not affect the street numbering.
The application meets the petition requirement and the applicant has provided a letter of support from 75% of the abutting property owners along Houston Chronicle Blvd.
HPD, HFD, Reliant Energy, AT&T, Greater Harris County 911, Houston Emergency Center, and the US Post Office do not oppose the change. The proposed street name is in compliance with the City’s Street name change procedures and standards.
